[ It's hard to see if Evaline has changed at all, all covered in fabrics like this, and she makes no move to allowing her new companion to see. Even she hasn't so much as glanced in the mirror since her arrival and she doesn't care to, though she's uncertain as to whether she's frightened she'll fail to recognize her own reflection, or frightened that she will. ]

Oh, no, no, that's quite all right, [ she hastens to say, waving a somewhat frantic hand at him. ] But thank you for the thought, ah -- Mister Ives.

[ She remembers him. Oh, drat. Why did she have to go on and catch the attention of someone with authority here? ]

I was just curious. I've never heard that such a thing could even be possible. But please, do you know, does this change us all the way? From one species to another? Without exception? Or do we maintain some of, well, what we already are?
