[This wasn't the worst day of her life, not by far. But it was probably the weirdest.
When the changes had first started, Mikasa had just grimly decided to bear it. It wasn't as though she could stop the pale antlers that had sprouted from her head. Or the fur that was growing down her arms and spine. She just had to keep moving... Then her legs had started to feel weird, at first it'd just been the same feeling as when her fur had grown but then they'd started to go numb.
It hadn't been until she'd decided to sit down that she'd noticed the too-small, second pair of legs starting to... Emerge from her backside. Almost like a fawn's, they'd occasionally wave as though looking for something to stand on.
At that point, Mikasa had just sat down at her table. Nursing her now very cold cup of tea, questioning existence. Eventually, the legs had gotten that large, her whole lower half changed and she'd need to forgo her chair. Hiding her deer body under her table out of the way.
She wasn't even sure how much time had passed. Or if she wanted to know.
Then the yelling and clattering started. It was nothing more than background noise to her, even as it got closer. So close the table next to her was in pieces. Mikasa jolted, jumping to her fe-hooves, staring...
Not understanding.
It...He looked like Eren. But she'd been pulled as she'd been going to buy flowers for Eren's grave, she'd...She'd killed him. But here was someone who looked just like him. She remained frozen, face paling as she looked. He looked so similar to eren when he'd died, and here she was. A few years old, her hair past her shoulder blades.
AOT SPOILERS ALL THE SPOILERS - also slight body horror
